Technic Crackle Polish & my neon rainbow crackle nails!
So, today I bought a bottle of Technic Crackle Effect Top Coat in 21106 Black. It only cost £1.99 and I have never used crackle polish before, so I thought I'd give it a go.
First of all, I painted my nails the colour I wanted to show through the crackle polish. I only did one coat so if you wanted a more vibrant finish you could do more or use a white undercoat first. In this case, I chose a different colour for each nail using these polishes from my collection:
Once that had dried, it was time for the star of the show to make an appearance.
I applied one coat of Technic Crackle Polish onto my freshly painted nails, being careful to paint each area just once, no overlapping or this will ruin the effect! Then, the magic happened before my eyes as the black started to crack in a random pattern and reveal the colours underneath.
Once this had dried I noticed the black was looking a bit dull, and almost chalky but once I applied a thin layer or two of clear top coat (which you need to do anyway to keep the colour on your nails), it had a nice shiny wet look to it once again. This is what it looked like:
It was so quick and easy to apply and I am not skilled at all when it comes to nail art, plus my nails are really short so it proves that you can still have pretty nails whether they are long or short.
The only really tiny issue I can find is not in the product itself but in the instructions that come attached to the bottle. It doesn't mention that you should apply a top coat to finish your design. someone who didn't know you had to do this would be a bit disappointed and not understand why the colour did not look its best. any tutorial online (and there are loads!) will tell you that you need to do this.
I absolutely love this product, I think it does it's job as well as more expensive products out there and I will DEFINITELY be buying more of these in as many colours as I can find!
Hope you enjoyed reading!

Goodies I bought today!
Today I went shopping (with a budget of £20) and this is what I came back with:
I actually bought 2 of these! One for cooking with (I think a butterfly cake will look awesome) and one for crafting. I'm either gonna try it with resin casting or soap making so I'll give an update sometime in the near future so you can see what I end up making!
I couldn't go shopping without getting something for my little one so I got him a new blanket. His name also happens to be Thomas so it literally has his name all over it.
I was desperately in need of some new bobbles so I picked up these funky looking ones. I love the rainbow colours!
I did get some of these a while back in pink shades and so I went back and got these. I love how the brushes allow you to do nail art designs or a full plain colour without needing to swap brushes. They are good but you need to use a good top coat with them. These ones are by Angel Cosmetics so they are nothing too fancy but they do the job!
This caught my eye because of how sparkly it is and I'd never seen a centipede bag charm before. Its nice to have something a bit "different" for a change.
Next up was this bag charm. It's my favourite purchase of the day. Its really long too and it spruces up my boring plain looking bag rather nicely.
Last but not least, I bought a long black open cardigan. I didn't get a photo of this as you all know what they look like I buy these quite often in lots of different styles and colours and I wear them nearly every day.
So thats it, and it cost me £19 in all!

It's Skittles, but not as we know them!
So today I am doing my first ever review, yay! So a week(ish) ago I won a bag of skittles Crazy Cores from a Facebook game, and now that they have arrived safely I am going to review them!
So, it seems that these have been available in the US for some time as lots of those American food import sites sell them but now they are available in UK shops too!
My first thoughts are that the packaging looks nice and bright, and the sweets look like regular skittles in size and shape.
There are 5 flavours. However, I think the flavour choices should have more variety. We have Lemon and Lemonade which I would think are basically the same thing, and then there's Watermelon and Melon, which again are very similar in taste. I get that they are trying to be different here and use a combination or flavours not usually seen in sweets, but I do think they could of made them better.
The other issue is that inside the middle of the sweets they are supposed to be different colours (left to right): yellow, pink, yellow, pink, green. You can just about notice a colour difference in the two end sweets but not really in the rest. This doesn't really bother me though, as when I normally eat Skittles, I don't bite bits off to check what colour they are, I just eat them whole! :-)
Now for the taste test:
Blue Rasberry & Lemon tastes just like regular lemon skittles to me but I still like it. I would of liked if the blue rasberry was stronger.
Mango & Peach tastes just as you would expect and I do like this flavour, although I wouldn't want to eat too many.
Cherry & Lemonade tastes just like the cocktail cherries you get in jars. Yum, I love cherries, and I'm actually glad that I can't taste the Lemonade flavour here.
Strawberry & Watermelon.. for me, they ruined the best Skittle of all time here! My favourite Skittle ever is the regular red strawberry one but I hate the flavour of Watermelon!
Melon & Berry actually tastes like pear drops to me, which is a good thing!
To summarise, they are edible, and overall I did like them. I would buy them if I saw them in a shop, but you just can't beat the original Skittles!
P.S I got my free bag from https://www.facebook.com/skittles.uk?sk=app_172257429525699 but this ends today, so if you are quick, you might just be able to grab one!
DISCLAIMER: These were a free sample. This does not affect my opinion and I have not been paid for this post.

My Internet Joy
I would like to praise the gem of the internet that is MoneySavingExpert.com !
It is great for anything and everything you need advice on really. My fave bits are the Freebies and Competitions threads on the Forum, but there is something on there for everyone whether you need financial advice or just want to make some friends. Over the last month I have got hold of some really nice things because of this site (I will try and provide some examples of these in the near future!)
Another hobby of mine is filling out surveys online for cash (really!) and soon I will start reviewing products on here. I have been sent a couple of things already in return for reviews but they are first aid products and I will wait for someone to get an injury first so I can post a fair review. THAT sounds weird, waiting for someone to get hurt!
Oh, and I had my first ever competition wins! A cushelle koala from http://www.facebook.com/cushellekoala
AND a month's supply of Rice Krispies Squares from http://www.facebook.com/rksquares
These are daily competitions so go give it a try!
P.S Check out http://www.thedogsdoodahs.com for your personalised cards & gifts! ;-)

My First Post!
Well here it is! My first blog post! This is gonna be a quick one just to get things started. It is way too hot today, we need a good old storm to clear the air a bit I think! My day was pretty boring today although the postman did bring me a few goodies! My Tesco delivery came today which was £112 worth of baby clothes for just £56. Bargain! I also had some Genome Fridge Magnets from Open University and a washing powder scoop. Ooh, and I did win a Cushelle Koala on Facebook yesterday. I wonder how long it will take to arrive though.... anyway I'm off to go on Ebay and do some surveys so thats all for now!
